I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in RICHMOND IN where I ate at Five Star Pizza and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a couple items of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
