I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in RICHBURG SC where I ate at Mcdonald's of Richburg and I saw a new piece to do with bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
