I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in REDWOOD FALLS MN where I ate at Comfort Inn Redwood Falls and I came across a really interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I found some interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
