I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in REDFORD MI where I ate at Santias Pizzeria and I saw an interesting cover story on bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
