I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in QUINCY MA where I ate at Sues Palate Pleasures and I saw a new cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I discovered some amazing details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
