I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in QUEEN CREEK AZ where I ate at El Rico's and I came across a new cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found out some other interesting details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
