I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in POUGHKEEPSIE NY where I ate at Sam's Food Mart Inc and I read a really interesting article on bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
