I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in POTTSTOWN PA where I ate at Crazy Frog Salon and I came across an interesting article about bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some items of clothing.
I must say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found some incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
