I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in PORTSMOUTH RI where I ate at Melville Lagoon Grille and I saw a really interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found out some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
