I move around a lot for my job and so often end up eating alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in PORT ROYAL SC where I ate at Mike's Deli and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some other interesting details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
