I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in PORT ANGELES WA where I ate at Lees Fairmount Restaurant and I saw an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

Bamboo Clothing PORT ANGELES

After a little more research I found out some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
