I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in PLYMOUTH IN where I ate at C D'S Court and I read a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I discovered some more amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
