I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in PLAINVIEW NY where I ate at Pappardelles Pizza and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some items of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
