I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in PLAINFIELD IL where I ate at Plainfield Family Restaurant and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found out some more incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
