I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in PITTSFIELD MA where I ate at Pittsfield Travelodge and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found out some incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
