I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in PITTSBURGH PA where I ate at Mineos Pizza House and I came across an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some items of clothing.

I must tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found out some more incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
