I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in PITTSBURGH PA where I ate at Real McCoy Sandwich Shop and I read a really interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought a few basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I discovered some more amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
