I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in PHILADELPHIA PA where I ate at Art Museum Restaurant & Pizzeria and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some basic items of clothing.
I must say I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After some more research I found some other amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
