I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in PHILADELPHIA PA where I ate at Mad Greek Restaurant and Pizza and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some more interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
