I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in PHILADELPHIA PA where I ate at Bentoulis Pizza and I came across an interesting article about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some more interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
