I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in PETALUMA CA where I ate at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant and I read a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found out some other interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
