I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in PENNSAUKEN NJ where I ate at CIBO Grill and I saw a really interesting cover story about bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some items of clothing.

I should tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
