I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in PENDLETON OR where I ate at Bread Board and I read a new cover story on bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I discovered some incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
