I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in PARKER CO where I ate at Las Delicias IV and I came across a really interesting article on bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
