I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in PALMYRA WI where I ate at Nite Cap Inn and I saw a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I must say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some incredible facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
