I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in OSHKOSH WI where I ate at Durango's Mexican Restaurant and I came across an interesting piece on bamboo. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some other incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
