I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in ORLANDO FL where I ate at Rincon Criollo and I read a new article on bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
