I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in ORACLE AZ where I ate at Oracle Inn and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

Bamboo Clothing ORACLE

After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
