I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in OKLAHOMA CITY OK where I ate at DC Soup Company and I came across a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some basic items of clothing.
I should say I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some interesting details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
