I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in OKLAHOMA CITY OK where I ate at Florence's and I read a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I have to say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found out some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
