I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in OKEECHOBEE FL where I ate at Angus Restaurant & Club Angus and I saw a new cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
