I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in OCEAN CITY MD where I ate at Carousel Hotel and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I must say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found out some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
