I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in OAK PARK IL where I ate at Edwardos Natural Pizza Restaurant and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I should say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
