I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in NOVI MI where I ate at Deer Run Golf Club and I read a new cover story on bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

Bamboo Clothing NOVI

After some more research I discovered some other interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
