I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in NORWOOD MA where I ate at D & G Deli and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I discovered some more interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
