I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in NORTH OLMSTED OH where I ate at Super China Buffet and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple pieces of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
