I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in NORCROSS GA where I ate at Waffle House Inc - Northeast and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I should say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I discovered some more interesting facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
