I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in NEWTOWN PA where I ate at China Pearl and I came across an interesting cover story about bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
