I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in NEWPORT RI where I ate at Elizabeth's Cafe of Newport and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

Bamboo Clothing NEWPORT

After a bit more research I found some incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
