I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in NEWPORT BEACH CA where I ate at Wrap-Sody and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a few items of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
