I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in NEWPORT TN where I ate at Leong Restaurant and I read an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a few basic items of clothing.
I have to admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
