I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in NEW YORK NY where I ate at Cafe Luxembourg and I saw a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some interesting facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
