I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in NEW YORK NY where I ate at Danal and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I discovered some more incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
