I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in NEW YORK NY where I ate at Colonial Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
