I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in NEW YORK NY where I ate at 879 Taco and I read an interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some incredible facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
