I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in NEW YORK NY where I ate at Angelo & Maxie's Steak House Midtown and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple items of clothing.
I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
