I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in NEW SALEM PA where I ate at Justin's Place and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I have to say I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found out some amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
