I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in NEW ROCHELLE NY where I ate at Clint's Pizza and I came across a really interesting piece on bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some items of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found out some other interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
