I move around a lot for my job and so often end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in NEW BRITAIN CT where I ate at Coqui Restaurant and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
