I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in NASHVILLE TN where I ate at Oriental Garden Chinese Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
